Audiometry Training Course

1 day online course suitable for Occupational Health professionals, Nurses, Doctors or Technicians. This course will teach you everything you need to know about Audiome- try and managing Audiometric health surveillance programmes in the workplace. The course will include the following topics: anatomy and physiology, legislation and health surveillance requirements, audiometry, interpretation of results and case examples with discussions. 5 CPD Points and CPD Certificate.

FOM DipOccMed Course/FOM DipOHPrac

2 weeks of online sessions, 2 weeks of self-study in between when you prepare your Portfolio, which is an essential requirement for the FOM exam. Suitable for Nurses or Doctors who wish to develop their Occupa- tional Health knowledge and/or start a career in Occupational Health. The Clinical Academy will host the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) approved Diploma in Occupational Health Practice course (for nurses) which runs parallel with the Diploma in Occupational Medicine course (for doctors) twice per year. Both courses are extensive 2 week FOM-approved courses delivered online that will teach you everything you need to know about occupational health in the workplace. Atten- dance at this course will provide you with the CPD certificate that you are required to submit to the FOM to sit the Diploma in Occupational Medicine and the Diploma in Occupational Health Practice professional exams. HAVS Training – Full FOM Two Day Course

An extensive 2 days Faculty of Occupational Medicine approved Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) course that will teach you everything you need to know about HAVS and managing HAVS surveillance pro- grammes in the workplace whether at tier 3 or tier 4. This course is suit- able for Occupational Health Nurses or Doctors. The course will cover: Background to HAVS, aethiology and pathophsiol- ogy, workplace vibration exposure, health effects, classification and stag- ing of HAVS, clinical assessment and differential diagnosis, management of cases, Tier 3 surveillance and legal aspects. Day 1 will cover the the- ory and is online. Day 2 will allow for practical experience with some of the assessment tools, discussions around staging for HAVS with a variety of scenarios and sitting the FOM’s MCQ exam; this practical second day takes place in Manchester.
